Paediatric Continence Physiotherapy
Gentle, supportive care for children with bladder and bowel concerns.
At The Pinnacle Physiotherapy Clinic, we offer specialised Paediatric Continence Physiotherapy to support children and their families in managing bladder and bowel health. We understand that continence challenges can be distressing and isolating for both children and parents. Our experienced physiotherapists provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each child’s needs.
We work with children of all ages experiencing issues such as:
- Daytime wetting
- Bedwetting (nocturnal enuresis)
- Constipation and straining
- Faecal incontinence (soiling)
- Delayed toilet training
- Withholding or refusal to toilet
Our approach is always child-friendly and family-centred, focusing on education, building confidence, and using age-appropriate strategies. We combine physical assessment with guidance on behaviour, posture, toileting routines, fluid intake and diet.
We collaborate closely with GPs, paediatricians, and other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated and supportive care plan. Our goal is to help children achieve continence, reduce anxiety, and improve quality of life—for both the child and their family.
Physiotherapy for Children and Adolescents
Supporting active kids through injury, growth and recovery.
At The Pinnacle Physiotherapy Clinic, we provide physiotherapy for children and adolescents who are experiencing pain, injury or movement issues related to sport, growth, or musculoskeletal conditions.
We treat a wide range of conditions in this age group, including:
- Sporting injuries (sprains, strains, ligament and tendon injuries and fractures)
- Osgood-Schlatter’s disease, Sever’s disease and other growth-related pain, including ‘growing pains’; aches and pains with activity and rest
- Joint pain (knee, hip, ankle, shoulder)
- Muscle imbalances and postural concerns, development of postural and core strength
- Overuse injuries from dance, gymnastics or high training loads
- Post-fracture rehabilitation
- Recovery following orthopaedic surgery
- Hypermobility (double jointedness/floppiness)
Our physiotherapists use a supportive, age-appropriate approach to assessment and treatment. We take time to understand each child’s sport, activity level, and goals, and tailor rehabilitation programs that are both effective and engaging.
We focus on helping kids return to the activities they love—safely and confidently—while also equipping them (and their families) with knowledge about injury prevention, strength development and body awareness during key growth phases.
If your child is dealing with an injury, growing pains or ongoing musculoskeletal discomfort, our experienced physiotherapists are here to help.
Paediatric Physiotherapy
Our paediatric physiotherapists provide a specialised service that supports infants and young children whose physical development is delayed or impacted by underlying conditions.
Our paediatric physiotherapists look after the specific needs of infants and children in relation to their physical development. All children are individually assessed, and intervention may range from reassurance and advice to play-based therapy programs, movement exercises, and hands-on techniques. The focus is on helping children develop key motor skills—such as sitting, crawling, standing, and walking—within a supportive, family-centred framework that empowers parents and caregivers to continue therapy at home.
